Nowadays a wide variety of steam carpet cleaners clean not just carpets. They have hoses and adapters or attachments that may let them to thoroughly clean your upholstery and shades at the same time. Right after my hubby by accident dragged the upholstery hose out of our older Hoover Steam Vac while clearing up his truck'supholstery, I took the benefit of his guilty conscience and just purchased a brand new Hoover carpet cleaner. I aim to do a fairly extensive amount of research on sizable buys and the Hoover Steam Vac with Clean Surge rated high up on just about every established site I visited, and I saw the reasons why after I used it for the first time. I used the SteamVac initially in my daughter's sleeping room, where the carpet was changed when we purchased our home in beginning of 2001 and has had limited use. I had always done just 1 wet and then as many drying swipes as needed)Iswear I can tell an improvement in the brightness of the hunter green carpet. And after again following the manual's advice of vacuuming the thoroughly clean carpet after it's free of moisture, we now have vibrant green, soft carpeting once again in her room.

 

 

What about the carpet runners in the hall? It is no wonder the bottoms of our socks looked faded basically! I am somewhat mortified that I was letting our puppies lay on those runners, in addition to allowing company to walk on them in their stockinged feet! UGH!

 

I've always take pride on being a goodhousekeeper due to the fact I never wanted family or company to come into our home and be bombarded by the odor and hair of our 4 dogs. Now I can truly tell the main difference between what I thought were clean area rugs/runners and what they're supposed to look like.

 

As for the assemblyof the Hoover SteamVacwith Clean Surge, husband had it fully put together with the use of only a Phillipshead screwdriver in about 10 minutes. The operation and cleaning of this SteamVac is exactly the same to my original Hoover...veryhassle-free. A quick read of the clear, to the point owner's manual will give you all the details you need to clean your upholstery, carpet/rugs, and even your hard floors. This cleaner is NOT approved for wood floors. Hoover was even considerate enough to add in a fair-sizedbottle of their cleaning solution in the box so you can get started on cleaning without delay. Some reviewers weren't impressed with the noise the SteamVacputs out, remarking it was louder than others they had used but it doesn't affect me. I imagine the louder noise is do to the powerful cleaning.

 

 

Just a minor downside in my opinion, is that both the clean water and the dirty water tanks are a little too modest (only a gallon) and hence require more prevalent stopping and starting for even a medium-sized fully-carpetedroom. Thus far I am delighted with the overall performance and successes I got from this Hoover on it's first use. ased. I highly recommend the Hoover Steam Vac to anyone.
